In 2006
Prussia Lane Productions produced a
grounbreaking and unique piece of British indie cinema in Crossing
Bridges. Written and directed by award winning filmmaker
Mark Norfolk,
the movie shot on 35mm film in a
mere
eleven days under a regime of a single take only
premiered at the European Independent Film
Festival in Paris.
The film picked up
numerous plaudits on its festival journey, including, against stiff
competition, the prestigious Screen
Nation Independent Spirit: Achievement Production Award at a
star-studded gala in London, Best Editing and the Audience Awards at
the Cyprus and Corinthian International Film Festivals in
Greece. Actor Jason Rose is
imperious in the lead role as Julius
Beauregard, a suicidal man who meets an angel played by Norwegian
actress Elisabeth
Dahl. Stalwart actor Jefferey Kissoon comes in with a solid
supporting role as Buster with US actor Kelli Kerslake playing
Rothstein, the troubled
lawyer.
Undoubtedly a uniquely
original independent film, there's an undeniable bonus in the
wonderful rock soundtrack by Kerry Hope Kavanagh of UK indie band The
Fellows.
